Custom Instructional Design

The EnVision team transformed a complex, regulation heavy, live workshop on medication administration and delegation in schools into an easily accessible and interesting online course. EnVision’s instructional designer expertly sifted through volumes of material to identify key messages and recommend effective methods for delivering the training. The designer was easy to work with and creative in her approaches. As a result of the work produced by EnVision, SHIELD now has an outstanding training product to provide to learners. This new course is being used not only for its intended audience (nurses seeking school nurse licensure), but it has been adopted by school nurse managers for professional development and quality improvement projects which should lead to improved medication safety for students. The quality of this course is such that it has been dubbed the new “gold standard” for school medication administration training in MA.

I’ve worked with EnVision on multiple eLearning projects. Each time, they exceed my expectations. The EnVision team is professional, creative, organized and truly enjoyable to work with.

When I need training designed and developed, I can always count on EnVision Performance Solutions to deliver!  Two highly talented instructional designers developed our instructor-led New Hire Orientation and online GMP Refresher training using sound design principles and creativity, producing quality results. By including our company specific information into the training, people were able to easily apply what they learned to their job tasks. Attendees remarked that the training was very engaging and enlightening. Thank you, EnVision! You’re fun to work with and did a great job! I know who I will turn to if I need training designed and developed.

– Kathy Riley, Training Manager, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc.

I partnered with EnVision because they were able to provide both subject matter expertise and an integrated approach that would meet the needs of this [instructor-led classroom] module while seamlessly fitting it within the larger curriculum.  This included weaving in key competencies, behaviors, and references to earlier skills we were building upon.  EnVision proved to be a highly flexible and capable partner, providing project management, design and facilitation.  Deliverables were on time and budget.  The end result was a very well received pilot program with excellent participant feedback.

Harvard Business Publishing-Corporate Learning’s Design Center of Excellence had the pleasure of partnering with EnVision on a key internal leadership development project. EnVision’s exceptional SMEs brought a wealth of instructional design expertise and a creative approach to the design and development process and served as great collaborators, working with us to ensure that the final materials reflected current adult learning methodologies, scalable content, and application activities that maximized the benefits of skills practice. We highly recommend EnVision for any instructional design project.

Organizational Needs Analysis

It was a pleasure working with EnVision to serve one of our national clients. We were particularly impressed with [their] thoroughness in conducting an organizational needs analysis and preparing a detailed curriculum recommendation, the inclusion of performance improvement recommendations outside the scope of training, and our ability to work collaboratively with [the EnVision] team.

– Ellen Cooperperson, CEO-Corporate Performance Consultants, Inc. & President-CPC Family Business Division

Project Management

One of EnVision’s strengths is its exceptional project focus. Not only can they understand the conceptual ideas of a project – they appreciate all the day to day tasks that go along with it… EnVision not only listens to what is necessary to the project, but also listens beyond the training scope to information that ultimately affects the training.

– David Cory, formerly Vice President, European Head of Global Learning and Development, State Street Corporation

Evaluation & Measurement

Understanding how learners not only “hear” information, but then go on to apply ideas and concepts on their jobs is an important tool for Learning and Development professionals. Yet, the evaluation phase of a project often seems to fall off the design table! At a recent ATD conference, (Association for Talent Development), I learned just how critical the evaluation process is, and specific steps that I could apply immediately to my own programs by attending “Evaluation Plans: Polishing Your Own Gems,” a workshop facilitated by Irene Stern Frielich. For me, a key takeaway was her strong emphasis on “When does evaluation start? At the beginning, as part of the design process.”

– Trisha Griffin-Carty, Griffin- Carty Communications

As a designer with evaluation expertise, I appreciate EnVision’s focus on ensuring clients go beyond “satisfaction surveys” and do indeed receive the desired outcomes from their training investments. It was rewarding when one client was able to apply EnVision’s evaluation tools as templates for measuring effectiveness and business impact for future development work, including those that serve also to reinforce and sustain learning.

– Marilyn Kobus, Senior Consultant

Facilitation

Irene’s facilitation style – informative, conversational –  created an environment that prompted questions and comments from the audience. Her presentation included concrete tools, illustrated in the many examples she provided from her work with clients.

Support for SME as Tranier

I was tasked with delivering 2 trainings to my colleagues. [Irene] coached me on what information is appropriate for what audience. I received great feedback from my colleagues about the trainings…Irene’s professionalism made working with her a good experience, but her encouragement, enthusiasm and passion for what she does, made it an amazing experience. She gave me tools and systems that I can use in her absence.

BRIDGE Solution®

We have just completed our second engagement with EnVision Performance Solutions, and once again were extremely pleased with both the result and the experience working with the team. The project required strong instructional design capability, project management, and partnership and they delivered on all fronts – on time and within budget! The final product was of the highest quality, instructionally sound, and made a very dry and regulation heavy topic highly engaging. They will continue to be a valued partner on future projects.

– Jackie Sweeney, Director Leadership & Organizational Development, Textron, Inc.

Our partnership with EnVision enabled us to achieve our vision of creating a cutting-edge, exciting new elearning series on unconscious bias. [They] worked with us to clarify our learning goals and approach, then collaborated on how to execute it. Their ideas, enthusiasm, expertise in curriculum development, and attention to detail helped us create an award winning product.

– Shilpa Pherwani, Principal/CEO, IBIS Consulting Group

Our EnVision consultant’s ability to connect with the subject matter, and her flexibility around our timeline was phenomenal. This was a very challenging project with two holidays and SMEs in 3 countries. She was able to keep us focused and on track and willing to make changes and adjustments as we moved forward.

– Michelle Ridgley, Learning & Development Manager, Medtronic Cardiovascular

Course Audit

This is a seminal document. The best work ever done by an outside consultant for MSH.

– Judith Seltzer, Director, Technical Strategy, Center for Leadership and Management, Management Sciences for Health

When I had a client who was developing an elearning solution I really wanted to make sure that the structure of the course made sense, the learning objectives were clear and were met, and that the ‘testing’/evaluation of learning was appropriate. Irene did a complete review of the program and provided a great deal of insight and high-impact recommendations. Her work was thorough, clear, and made a big difference in the overall quality of the program. Because of her work we were able to launch the elearning with confidence.

Mentoring

I so appreciate the breadth, depth and generosity of [EnVision’s] knowledge, that I’ve also used them, very successfully, to mentor a new hire in my organization. She went from a complete eLearning novice with a lot of potential to a thoughtful eLearning developer with a solid foundation of instructional design, project management and SME management skills. Best professional development money I’ve ever spent!

– Kris Evans Paull, Training & Communications Manager Environmental Health and Safety Takeda Pharmaceuticals International Co.

I was recently promoted to a Training and Events Coordinator to do project management for my office. Irene consulted with me about what project management is and why it is important. She gave me step by step guidance in selecting and purchasing an effective and user friendly project management tool to help me  and my colleagues manage big and small projects. I met with Irene bi-weekly. She was always prompt, organized and very professional. At the end of her consultation I was tasked with delivering 2 trainings to my colleagues. She coached me on what information is appropriate for what audience. I received great feedback from my colleagues about the trainings. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her by my side.  Over time our relationship evolved from a professional relationship to a personal mentor/mentee relationship. Irene’s professionalism made working with her a good experience, but her encouragement, enthusiasm and passion for what she does, made it an amazing experience. She gave me tools and systems that I can use in her absence, and to this day, when I have a conflict or need to make  a crucial decision, I think, what would Irene do?
