2023

In partnership with EnVision, Pacific Western Bank implemented training for a new career planning path for its employees. The workshop topics include employee interests, skills, development planning, and management support. Julie Young, former Senior Director of Talent Development for Pacific Western Bank, and Irene Stern Frielich coauthored an article about this project for Training Magazine.

EnVision supported a Boston-area school of public health who partnered with an NGO in developing a series of courses for mid-career health practitioners. We provided instructional design strategy consultation and a learning technologist to set up the courses in their LMS.

2022

EnVision completes a complex course on setting up and managing a shelter during a disaster. The project includes an instructor’s manual, tabletop and simulation activities, videos spotlighting sheltering scenarios, and related learning discussion guidance. With help from a classroom roadmap planning tool, the instructor selects the topics and approaches that best meet the needs of a given audience.

EnVision expands its mentorship services this year. For a multi-week curriculum offered by a DEI consulting firm, Irene guided the owner in clarifying and writing learning objectives, creating a course outline, identifying learning activities, and breaking down the topics into manageable learning chunks.

EnVision holds its 25th EnVisioning our Future (EOF) team development day, this one on Universal Design. Team members learned how to design presentations, elearning courses, and other tools so they are accessible to all.

2021

Irene Stern Frielich presents Supporting SMEs—With Pizza! to the Hawkeye ATD. The Iowa-based group sought out Irene after reading her article of the same name in the Nov/Dec 2020 issue of Training Magazine.

EnVision, with its client Sullivan Tire, wins the IELA 2020 Gold award (Business Division) in the elearning category for Driving the Courtesy Van with Care, an immersive, experiential course for drivers.

Irene Stern Frielich conducts EnVision’s Writing Learning Assessment Questions workshop for the Central Massachusetts ATD Chapter.

2020

EnVision launches a new service! EnVisioning Virtually: Creating Engaging Courses in the Virtual Environment, is a highly practical five-session workshop series designed to support instructional designers and facilitators as they transition their courses to the virtual environment.

2019

The ATD New England Area Conference offers a concurrent workshop session called Before You Start: Building a Blended Learning Plan, led by Irene Stern Frielich.

EnVision welcomes a state agency into its client family for whom we delivered customized project management workshops.

The organizers of the Training 2019 Conference and Expo (Training Magazine) welcome Irene Stern Frielich in February to lead a hands-on workshop entitled Healthier Tests: Writing Effective Learning Assessment Questions.

EnVision welcomes a new automotive service client, for whom we are developing a series of elearning courses.

2018

EnVision welcomes a new medical care client, for whom we developed an elearning course on infection prevention for clinical practitioners.

Good Manufacturing Practices Training & Education Association (GMP TEA) hosts Irene Stern Frielich as one of its October 2018 conference presenters. Her topic is Writing Effective Learning Assessments.

EnVision welcomes another pharmaceutical client. We are working together to develop their lab practices learning curriculum.

EnVision is awarded a Bronze in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards for Best Advance in Custom Content. EnVision wins this honor for its course Opioid Overdose Prevention and Bystander Training, created for the Boston Public Health Commission/AHOPE.

2017

TD Magazine publishes Polishing Your Gems — And Showing the Value of Your Training Efforts, an article written by Irene Stern Frielich to aid in companies’ training evaluation processes.

Good Manufacturing Practices Training & Education Association (GMP TEA) selects Irene Stern Frielich as one of its September 2017 conference presenters. Her topic is Writing Effective Learning Assessments.

2016

The Omni Awards bestows the silver award in both the Business and Social categories to the Unconscious Bias elearning series in Fall 2016. EnVision Performance Solutions, in partnership with video and elearning vendors, worked on this series of four elearning courses for Ibis Consulting. Held twice per year, the Omni Awards celebrate excellent work in film/video, web and mobile media.

The ATD New England Conference hosts Irene Stern Frielich, EnVision’s President, and Matt Matosic from the Boston Public Health Commission, an EnVision client, who co-present “Evaluation Plan: Polishing Your Own Gems.”

2015

The Healthcare Internet Conference honors EnVision with a Platinum award (highest level) in “Best Interactive” for the “Healthcare-Other” category at the eHealthcare Leadership Awards in Orlando, FL in November.  The winning project, Incident Management for Hospitals, was prepared for the DelValle Institute for Emergency Preparedness, in partnership with Illumina Interactive.

EnVision launches a new suite of services, Writing Effective Learning — or WEL™ — workshops. These workshops, which include WEL™ Objectives, WEL™ Assessments, WEL™ Project Plans, and WEL™ Activities, are customized to each organization’s needs.

Members of the Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF), including Irene Stern Frielich of EnVision, create and facilitate an interactive workshop-style “café” for fellow HRLF members. Delivered in November, this café’s subject is identifying what overwhelms us and sharing solutions.

EnVision introduces coaching and mentoring services designed to share expertise with clients while building their self-reliance. Our first mentee, new to the instructional design field, is an employee of a large global client.

2014

Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third-party certifier of the businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S., certifies EnVision as a women’s business enterprise.

NEHRA’s Insights magazine publishes Covidien: A Culture Prime for Innovation, an article based on EnVision’s work with this client and describing the approach to diversity and inclusion training the company has taken with the help of EnVision.

The Bio-Pharmaceutical Education and Training Association (BETA) chapter of GMP Training & Education hosts an EnVision workshop, Writing Learning Assessment Questions, co-facilitated by Irene Stern Frielich.

2013

EnVision sponsors Northeast Human Resources Association’s (NEHRA) Fall conference, Reimagining HR: Big Ideas, Small Changes in October.

Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) publishes EnVision’s You’ve Got a Friend – at Work: How Peer Buddies Help New Employees Fit In. This article details Millennium Pharmaceuticals’ peer buddy program, which helps new employees acclimate to the company and features an elearning peer buddy orientation developed by EnVision.

The Boston Public Health Commission/DelValle Institute for Emergency Preparedness launches an online course entitled Community Preparedness Basics: Ready, Safe, Healthy, designed for Boston residents by EnVision Performance Solutions. EnVision also develops the following courses for DelValle: Emergency Operations Planning (EOP), Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) Planning, and Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Triage.

2012

EnVision introduces its newest service, the Course Audit, after successfully piloting it with two clients: a not-for-profit professional association seeking to enhance its instructor-led Research Administration course and a consulting firm interested in enhancing the effectiveness of its elearning course on mentoring. The results of the 85-point Course Audit are presented to clients in a detailed, actionable report.

Millennium Pharmaceuticals initiates Peer Buddy online training created by EnVision. This training helps the company’s employees learn to be successful Peer Buddies to new hires.  Millennium is also cited the #1 Place to Work by The Boston Globe in 2012, and is #35 on Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in the United States for 2012.

2011

The Boston Public Health Commission/DelValle Institute for Emergency Preparedness establishes its new Learning Center, with the first course entitled Continuity of Operations Planning, designed by EnVision and partner Illumina Interactive.

Kirkpatrick Partners publishes Irene Stern Frielich’s article, Evaluation Enhances Blended and Online Learning, in their online library.  This article shares the evaluation methods EnVision incorporated in its award-winning project for Management Sciences for Health (see next highlight).

Learning in Non-Government Organizations (LINGOs) announces that EnVision Performance Solutions and Illumina Interactive win the 2nd eLearning Global Giveback Competition in the corporate developer category.

2010

Kirkpatrick Partners publishes Irene Stern Frielich’s article, Learner Feedback On-the-Go, in their online library. The article describes methods for obtaining formative evaluation data during a class.

2009

Irene Stern Frielich founds the Learning & Organizational Development Community Forum within the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA). This forum provides networking and leadership opportunities for L&OD professionals.

The Supplier Diversity Office certifies EnVision Performance Solutions in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Among other benefits, this certification helps companies compete in public bidding opportunities.
